If you’ve been wanting to try embroidery but didn't know where to start—or if you just want a dedicated, quiet space to create alongside nice people—welcome to the circle.

The Stitch Circle is a relaxed, twice-a-month gathering designed for total beginners and curious makers. We meet for 1.5 hours, put on some music, and focus on mastering just one new stitch per session. No rush, no pressure.

Christmas Special Edition: In this session, you'll learn one special technique to create a textured Christmas Star.

How It Works

• Learn and Apply: We’ll walk through the featured stitch together step-by-step. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll start embroidery on an item of your choice.

• Create a Piece You Actually Love: Over time, you can combine different stitches to build a larger design, or just drop in for a single session to learn the basics and make something small and beautiful.

What to Bring (and What We Provide)

Bring a plain item you’d love to personalize—like a favorite T-shirt, a canvas tote bag, a denim jacket, or a scrap of fabric. If you don't have anything on hand, don't worry; we'll have practice fabric ready for you. We provide all the hoops, needles, threads, and guidance you need. You will also receive a Stitch Guide to support you on your embroidery journey.

About Barbara

Barbara is the artist behind Arcoiris Embroidery. She first picked up a needle and thread as a way to express her political voice, quickly falling in love with how grounding—and quietly powerful—this art form can be. Today, her favorite thing is helping others find that same creative spark and use embroidery to tell their own unique stories. A big fan of upcycled textiles, Barbara loves giving old clothes a second life and creating spaces where people can hang out and make things together.
