Clay & Calm : Handbuilding for Beginners

Slow down, get your hands into clay, and discover the joy of making by hand.

In this relaxed 2-hour workshop, you'll be introduced to three fundamental handbuilding techniques: pinching, coiling, and slab building. Through guided demonstrations and plenty of hands-on practice, you'll learn how to transform a simple lump of clay into unique, functional, or decorative pieces.

This workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and embracing the beautiful imperfections that make handmade ceramics so special. Whether you dream of making cups, bowls, sculptures, or simply want to explore a new creative outlet, you'll be supported every step of the way.

No previous experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to play with clay.

What’s Included

• 2-hour pottery workshop in a small group

• Two firings (bisque and glaze firing)

What You’ll Take Home

• One finished, glazed ceramic piece
